Supports Soft Tissue Where Weakness Exists
Injuries to soft tissues can be debilitating and potentially disfiguring. In order to enable functional recovery, KeraNetics, along with experts in the field of regenerative medicine, is developing treatment strategies that involve the delivery of cells and/or factors to muscle injuries. KeraNetics is developing a void filler for volumetric muscle loss as well as several biocompatible delivery vehicles that provide a structural matrix for cell attachment. Pre-clinical models show it is a permissive matrix for cell attachment and proliferation. Additionally, the models found it to be an effective delivery vehicle for growth factors as a matrix or a hydrogel with various porosities.
