Thermal Burn

Provide moist healing environment
KeraStat® Gel is a sterile, non-implantable, keratin-based hydrogel wound dressing intended to act as a protective
covering in the management of a variety of partial thickness dermal wounds. When applied, KeraStat® Gel covers the wound and facilitates a moist wound environment for the management of partial thickness wounds.

Managing Wounds with Keratin

Keratin has been used for many years to treat wounds and burns, starting in the 16th century by the Chinese herbalist Li Shu-Zhen. Since then significant progress has been made describing the beneficial effects of keratin proteins for wound care. KeraNetics has conducted extensive large animal wound healing model efficacy testing and is currently enrolling patients in studies assessing scar reduction after KeraStat Gel use in deep partial thickness burns in US burn centers.
